New Director starts at The Roslin Institute
Professor Eleanor Riley takes up the role of Institute Director on 1st September 2017.

We are pleased to welcome Professor Eleanor Riley as the new Director of The Roslin Institute as of today.
Professor Riley has a background in veterinary medicine, human infectious diseases and global health. She has over 30 years of research experience including leading major multi-partner projects in the UK and Africa.
I am honoured and delighted to have been given the opportunity to lead The Roslin Institute. I look forward to guiding the Institute to continued success and to strengthening research collaborations at home and abroad.
Professor Riley succeeds Professor David Hume, who stepped down from the role of Director in January. Since then Professor Bruce Whitelaw, previously the Institute's Head of Division of Developmental Biology, has been serving as Interim Director.
