Poultry lines
The NARF has a number of poultry lines available including layer and broiler breeds and Japanese quail.
Fertile eggs and chicks are available for research use upon request, with a requirement for a material transfer agreement for some lines to meet our restrictions relating to animal experiments or source of the lines.

We maintain a flock of Hy-Line chickens, a commercial hybrid brown egg layer line that we annually replace from a supplier. Fertile eggs supplied from this line are F1 progeny of egg-producing stock. |

Advanced intercross of a broiler and white leghorn that is maintained as heterozygous for a high-growth haplotype, that mediates Cholecystokinin A Receptor expression and underlies the largest QTL for growth in chickens. |
