Electronic sharing of responses for GDPR

In order to meet GDPR legislation, the STU262 project has delivered a secure solution enabling information to be shared electronically.

This project has provided the Records Management Section with a secure method of sharing information electronically with requestors (including members of the public) making a request to the University under the new Data Protection legislation. The solution satisfies the requirement ‘’Where the data subject makes the request by electronic means, and, unless otherwise requested by the data subject, the information shall be provided in a commonly used electronic form’’.

The key objective of the project was to provide a secure electronic solution in order to share responses with external requestors making Subject Access Requests.
