The Luksic Scholarship at the Edinburgh Futures Institute, University of Edinburgh

The Edinburgh Futures Institute will offer three scholarships to applicants on the MSc programmes in Circular Economy or AI and Data Ethics for 2024-2025. Applicants must be a Chilean citizen domiciled in Chile.

Awards

We are offering three scholarships, for the sum of £51,500 each. These awards will be tenable for the 2024-2025 academic year and tuition will be automatically deducted with remaining funds being awarded towards living costs and travel fees.

All scholarship award holders are expected to be energetic members of our postgraduate community and will engage with opportunities to present their work to the wider student and staff body during the period covered by their award.  We offer our postgraduates a range of training and development opportunities appropriate to their programme of study.

Eligibility

These scholarships are for new applicants to Edinburgh Futures Institute’s MSc in Circular Economy or to the MSc in AI and Data Ethics, commencing in September 2024. The award is for full-time, on campus study only.

To apply for the scholarship an applicant must be a Chilean citizen or Chilean permanent resident domiciled in Chile. Please note, that should you hold dual nationality with a nation that allows you to pay local fees you would not meet the eligibility criteria.

The scholarships will be awarded based on academic merit, however we will also consider whether the candidate can demonstrate some or all of the following:

• interest in social change in Chile
• evidence of work experience either in the public sector or in a role with strong social impact
• is the first in their family to attend University
• is from a region outside of Santiago
