Applying and Deadlines

This is a TWO PART process

PART ONE - Securing an offer to study your programme of choice. Apply to the eligible programme of your choice through our Degree Finder.

To secure an offer you must meet the University of Edinburgh entry requirements.

A conditional offer is sufficient for you to move to part two of this process and apply for the CSC scholarship. You will however need to meet all the conditions of your offer to secure an unconditional offer and become a student at the University of Edinburgh. This will include demonstrating your English language competency.

Please note – Apply for your programme as soon as possible, as it can take up to 10 working days for an application to be processed.

PART TWO - Applying for the Commonwealth Scholarship

Once you have received an offer from the University of Edinburgh, you can apply to the Commonwealth Scholarships. Information on how to apply can be found here.

Before applying, please be sure to read the Eligibility Information on the Commonwealth Scholarships webpage.

Remember you must include all supporting documentation.

Applications are now closed as the 28th March 2024 deadline has passed.

Notification

Our committee will nominate the chosen candidates within four weeks of the final closing date for applications.  The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission selection committee will select Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholars from the shortlists of nominated candidates and release the final results in July 2024.
