Funding is available at both the PhD and Masters level.

Informatics Global PhD Scholarships

If you have a strong academic record of accomplishment at undergraduate or Masters level, and are highly motivated to pursue a PhD programme in the School of Informatics at The University of Edinburgh, you could be selected to receive a full PhD scholarship.

School of Informatics Scholarships

A number of research scholarships are available each year to new postgraduate research students within the School of Informatics.

UKRI Doctoral Training Funds

Up to ten full scholarships are available each year for each of our Centres for Doctoral Training.

Google European Doctoral Fellowships

Google runs an international competition for these scholarships.

John Fisher High Performance (HPC) Scholarships

EPCC will offer a minimum of two John Fisher High Performance Computing Masters scholarships for the 2021-2022 academic session.

DeepMind Scholarships

DeepMind and the University of Edinburgh’s School of Informatics have formed a partnership to support students undertaking the MSc in Artificial Intelligence programme. Scholarships will cover tuition fees and provide a stipend to cover maintenance and other living costs. Equipment and travel grants will be available during the programme. A relocation grant may also be awarded to international recipients.
