One scholarship of £25,400 will be awarded to an applicant accepted onto an eligible on campus one year History Masters programme.
The scholarship will cover £19,300 tuition fees and £6,100 as a stipend award. The scholarship is tenable for one academic year.
Applicants must be nationals of a country outside the UK and EU and be liable for the overseas rate of tuition fee. Applicants must be accepted for admission on a full-time basis for one of the eligible programmes listed below:
MSc American History
MSc Contemporary History
MSc by Research History I (Arts Division)
MSc by Research History (Scottish History Division)
MSc Intellectual History
MSc Medieval History
MSc Scottish History
Applicants for the MSc Late Antique, Islamic and Byzantine Studies programme may also apply, though priority may be given to those applying for the programmes listed above
Applicants should already have been offered a place at the University of Edinburgh and should have firmly accepted that offer or be intending to do so.
The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, the overseas equivalent of a UK first-class honours degree.
Applications for this scholarship are no longer being accepted for 2017-18 as the deadline of 19th May 2017 has now passed.
All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application in June 2017.
