The Sheila Cannell Postgraduate Award

One scholarship will be awarded to an applicant accepted onto a one year Masters programme within the School of History, Classics and Archaeology.

Award

The award will have a value of £2,000 and is tenable for one academic year. 

Eligibility

The Award will be made to students who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for a postgraduate one year History Masters programme of study offered on campus.

Applicants should already have been offered a place at the University of Edinburgh and should have firmly accepted that offer or be intending to do so. 

Criteria

The award will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, a UK first-class honours degree or the overseas equivalent thereof.

Applying

Applications are no longer being accepted for this scholarship as the 28th of February 2023 deadline has now passed. 

You must read the School of History, Classics and Archaeology webpage ahead of applying for the scholarship to ensure that you are able to complete the required steps to apply ahead of the deadlines (including the earlier degree programme application deadline).
