Four awards are available.

Institute of Mechanical Engineering Project Prize

A certificate and medal are awarded annually to a final year student for outstanding research, development or design project.

Institute of Mechanical Engineering Best Student Prize

A certificate is awarded annually to the most deserving final year student from each degree programme as determined by the Board of Examiners.

Institute of Mechanical Engineering Best Project Prize

A certificate is awarded annually to the most deserving final year student from each degree programme as determined by the Board of Examiners.

Frederick Barnes Waldron Prize

A certificate and medal are awarded annually by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers to the best student in the final year of any Institute of Mechanical Engineering accredited degree programme.
