School Scholarships

The School of Social and Political Science is pleased to offer funded PhD awards for 2022-2023 entry.

The Chrystal Macmillan PhD Scholarship

This scholarship is offered by the School of Social and Political Science to a new PhD student studying a field relevant to Chrystal Macmillan.

Alice Brown PhD Scholarship

A 6-year PhD scholarship offering a programme of advanced study, ongoing research,professional training and development.

Alice Brown PhD Scholarships (Politics and International Relations)

The Alice Brown PhD Scholarships (PIR) are three 6-year, part-time, PhD scholarships offering a programme of advanced study, ongoing research, professional training and development. These awards are specific to three research areas: Political Theory, Politics or Comparative Politics, and International Relations. At least one award is intended for a candidate whose research combines Politics, Comparative Politics, and/or International Relations with Quantitative Methods.
