General Conditions

Guidance applicable to University of Edinburgh scholarships, bursaries and prizes for enrolled students.

These awards and prizes are given at the discretion of the University.

Value of awards

The value of many awards depends on the outcome of their endowment, which varies from year to year.

The figures provided therefore are approximate and subject to review.

Eligibility

Both men and women are eligible for all awards unless there is a statement to the contrary.

No prize may be awarded more than once to the same person except by special recommendation of the School concerned.

Applying

Unless there is information to the contrary no application is required.

Conditions

Awards are tenable only in the University of Edinburgh, except for certain postgraduate awards which may be held elsewhere by graduates of Edinburgh.

Resignation

Any award holder who wishes to resign his award should notify the Head of School and the Director of the Scholarships and Student Administration in writing.
