Higgs Scholarships

The School of Physics and Astronomy are offering twelve scholarships to applicants who have applied to study full-time on either the MSc Astrobiology and Planetary Sciences, MSc Mathematical Physics, MSc Particle and Nuclear Physics or MSc Theoretical Physics programmes of study for the 2023-2024 academic session.

Award

We are offering 12 scholarships, for the sum of £10,000 each. These awards will be tenable for one academic year and will be deducted from the tuition fee.

Eligibility

Applicants must have applied to study full-time on either the MSc in Astrobiology and Planetary Sciences, MSc Mathematical Physics, MSc Particle and Nuclear Physics or MSc Theoretical Physics programmes of study commencing in academic year 2023-2024.

Criteria

Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and/or financial need, especially where the award of a Scholarship will be key for enabling a student to take up the offer of a place on our MSc programme.

Applying

Eligible applicants should complete an online scholarship application.

The scholarship deadline is 15th June 2023 11:59pm BST.

In order to gain access to the scholarship application system, applicants must have applied for admission to the University of Edinburgh.  Please note that, following the submission of an application for admission, it can take up to five working days for all system checks to be completed and for access to be granted.

The online scholarship application form is located in EUCLID and can be accessed via MyEd our web based information portal at https://www.myed.ed.ac.uk
