Tercentenary Award for Excellence

This award is open to all applicants who have applied to a taught LLM or MSc programme starting in the 2024-25 academic year at Edinburgh Law School.

Award

The scholarships are worth £5,000 and will be applied towards the cost of tuition fees.

Eligibility

All applicants who are accepted for admission to any taught LLM or MSc programmes offered by the School (including Online Learning programmes) starting in the 2024-25 academic year.

Criteria

The award will be made on the basis of academic merit and the strength of a personal statement. Within your personal statement please include:

  • the specific elements of the LLM or MSc programme that attracted you to the University of Edinburgh and why these are meaningful to you; and
  • explain how successful completion of this programme will benefit your career, personal development and / or enable you to contribute to your community/region or country?

Priority will be given to those who have not had the opportunity to study at masters level previously.

Applicants should already have been offered a place at the University of Edinburgh and should have firmly accepted that offer or be intending to do so.

Applying

The closing date will be 1st May 2024.

Applications should be made in parallel with the admission application for any LLM or MSc degree programme in the School of Law.
