Student Surveys

All the data we gather is used to shape future decisions about the full spectrum of areas that make up the student experience.

We analyse the results from the surveys and make recommendations for change based on the findings. Some of the findings may prompt further research so we can gain more of an understanding of how students feel about particular issues.

National Student Survey (NSS)

This annual survey gives final year undergraduates the opportunity to comment on all aspects of your higher education experience.

Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES)

The annual Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey is the chance for taught postgraduates to give feedback on their experiences of learning and teaching at the University.

Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES)

The Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) runs every two years from March to May and is a chance for research postgraduates to feed back on their experience.

Pulse Survey

The University of Edinburgh Pulse Survey runs every 2 months to give students the chance to provide feedback on their experiences over the course of the year.
