We would like to know what we do well, what we should continue to do in the future, and what we need to improve. We are committed to enhancing the student experience and would like to hear about your views on your courses. All courses include a Course Enhancement Questionnaire (CEQ), so that you can tell us your views about your courses. The main purpose of CEQs is to enhance student learning, to provide School staff with information that they can use to guide and evaluate changes in course content and teaching, and to enhance support for learning across programmes and the broader University. The questionnaires, which were agreed after a University-wide consultation process, aim to capture as much about your experience of teaching as possible, using as few questions as possible. Providing constructive feedback As engaged learners, students have responsibility to provide constructive feedback on their courses using CEQs. We ask that students be aware of the consequences of unconscious bias in the feedback they provide and make efforts to mitigate it as far as possible. Additionally, whilst students may provide critical feedback, they should ensure that this remains constructive, and that it does not breach the University’s Dignity and Respect Policy, which you can view at the link below. Dignity and Respect Policy (pdf) Results of CEQs will never be analysed in a way that seeks to identify individual students from their responses. However, should students wish to remain anonymous in their responses, they should not identify themselves in their answers to the questionnaire, implicitly or explicitly.
