Our activity online can impact on our future; so it’s important to be savvy, stay safe and be able to make the most of the opportunities available. There are various resources and workshops to help you create an effective online presence and manage your digital footprint.

What is your digital footprint? It's the data you leave behind when you go online. It's what you've said, what others have said about you, where you've been, images you're tagged in, personal information, social media profiles and much more.

How do I manage my digital footprint?

Various workshops, resources and advice are on offer which focus on how to create and manage a positive digital footprint, and to help assist you with:

  • creating a positive online presence (brand you)
  • employment opportunities and professional networking
  • collaborating with others
  • keeping safe online
  • managing your privacy and the privacy of others
  • understanding what e-professionalism is and why it’s important
  • accessing professional bodies’ social media guidelines
