Whether for work or pleasure, it’s perhaps never been more important, for University to offer opportunities to develop your intercultural competence. Global businesses relay this as an important skill in their employees and our world environment would undoubtedly benefit from us all understanding each other better. European Work Experience: Funding is available for students undertaking internships in Europe through the Erasmus+ Traineeship programme. Students in any year of study can apply for grants worth up to €400 EUR per month. The experience must last for a minimum of 2 months, start before 15 July and end by 30 September 2016. Eligible host institutions include other Higher Education Institutions and public/private organisations based in an Erasmus+ programme country. The deadline for applying for Erasmus+ funding is 01 February 2016. GLE gives you real and practical experiences, broadens your horizons and challenges you to adapt and thrive in diverse situations. This year we’ve we run a competition among students for best video, best written word and best photo to depict their experience in a creative way. This competition is an annual event and the winners are revealed at the Homecoming event every October.
