We’re pleased to share that booking for Term 2 of the University of Edinburgh’s 2021/22 Short Courses programme will open at 10am on Tuesday 2 November.

And, just as the rest of our community takes steps to reopen and embrace new ways of living and working, we’re delighted that from January 2022 we’ll be offering some courses in person, and some courses online.

The majority of our Term 2 courses will be taught in person and in line with current Scottish Government Covid guidelines. Classes will take place either on campus or in partner venues where spaces have been risk assessed and the additional health and safety measures, which you will all now be very familiar with, have been introduced.

We are very excited to be getting back to face to face teaching and can’t wait to welcome you safely back to our campus.

For many however, online courses have proved a preferable, more accessible option. Therefore in Term 2 we’ll continue to offer a small number of courses online. Those that will be taught online have been specifically developed for remote learning and have run successfully over this past year.

Of course, whichever way you learn with us this term, our range of courses will be diverse, inspiring and creative and our teaching colleagues as experienced and as passionate as ever.

So whether you want to kick start 2022 by mastering the basic techniques of tapestry, accelerating your Arabic, going behind the scenes of British cinema or getting lost in the novels of Jane Austen, there really is something for everyone!
