John Cairns

With Brexit dominating the news, the University’s alumni clubs in the EU have been particularly invited to join us online to hear the Principal, Professor Peter Mathieson, give his annual report.

There will be opportunities for General Council members to submit questions for the Principal online at General.Council@ed.ac.uk, as well as in person at the event.

The meeting is followed by a drinks reception and lunch in the Playfair Library. The after-lunch speaker, Professor John Cairns (pictured), will then give an illustrated presentation about the history of the site of Old College.
