Oslo played host to the University’s first alumni reception in Norway this April.
The University has a long tradition of welcoming Norwegian students to Edinburgh and with over 600 alumni currently living in Norway, an event in Oslo was a welcomed opportunity for local and international alumni in the area to reconnect and network.
Around 50 alumni who graduated from Edinburgh over a 47 year period, from 1968 to 2014, gathered in the Aker Brygge area of Oslo and were greeted by representatives from Development & Alumni and the Business School.
The occasion was enjoyed so much by some that it is hoped that more Scottish themed events will be held in Oslo in the future. With 226 Norwegian students currently enrolled on a course at Edinburgh there is likely to be a continued enthusiasm for reuniting in the area.
