Below we list quotes from our students describing their experience with online learning at the Edinburgh Imaging Academy.

“Well I enjoyed that I could do my residency training & the master of science at the same time. So it’s very difficult to have enough time to do both things, but this programme allowed me to organise my own schedule & now I completed the Master of Science & in one year I’m going to complete my radiology training so it’s really good for me.”

“I feel in many aspects this programme has impacted my day to day job – all medical doctors go through some form imaging at some point which helps in patient management, & there’s many other things that were pointed out in the course that helped me become more systematic while I was still working as a surgical doctor.”

“I recommend this programme for different reasons. It is great if you want to get that advanced knowledge in neuroimaging, & if you have an interest in research, you will get everything you need, you will be equipped to carry out your own research independently, so I highly recommend this programme. Before the programme I was very confused about research; I did not quite understand what it took to select a project material & research your need, & present it scientifically. But, after this programme I feel very confident that I can independently carry out research, in neuroimaging."

"Being an online distance learner at the University of Edinburgh has offered me the opportunity to not only expand my credentials, but also to learn from an internationally recognised research institution. I have the flexibility to study when I want, I can work full time, I am also a mother of four, so I couldn’t possibly choose a better institution to learn from & learn with."

“Studying online offers unique challenges for a couple reasons; the first reason is you have to be tenacious & you’ve got to be organised, & you’ve got to get the work done, so prioritisation is key. The second thing is interaction with your peers; if you can establish a nice network of your peers while you’re studying online you can create a community that is just as intimate & just as productive as the university based student community.”
