Administrative/Digital Skills for Students
Information on support for administrative and digital skills development for students.
As well as developing their own digital skills, the University’s student facing staff members have an important role to play in disseminating awareness of why it is important for students to develop their digital skills and the resources and training opportunities available for them. With digital competency being such a core requirement in work, study and research, we have a golden opportunity to ensure our students benefit from the resources on offer, and leave the University with a high level of digital know-how.
Students can assess their digital competence and investigate the range of resources and training opportunities on offer by using the Digital Skills Framework.
Alternatively, students can attend the Developing your Digital Skills Workshop for Students to start their digital skills development journey.
Developing your Digital Skills Workshop for Students
The Digital Skills and Training Team have curated a collection of digital skills development resources for undergraduate students based on the activities students can expect to perform at different stages of their studies. The Digital Skills Development Journeys highlight the resources that can help students develop the digital skills they require to successfully complete these activities. There are five Journeys in total, one for each year of a standard undergraduate degree, and one to prepare students for employment.
