For the 2016 'Dick Vet College Ball' the Final Year Committee went for a Rio de Janiero carnival theme in a nod to the fast approaching Olympic Games in Brazil.  The ball took place at Edinburgh International Conference Centre and the organising committee took the opportunity to raise funds for Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home.

Strong links

The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies maintains strong links with Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home which is based in the Seafield area of the city.  Vet students regularly visit the home throughout their degree for invaluable practical experience with cats and dogs.

Successful raffle

With the help and generosity of many local businesses who donated prizes, the Final Year Committee were able to hold a very successful fundraising raffle at the College Ball. An impressive £438 was raised from ticket sales on the evening and the committee were delighted to present EDCH with a cheque for this amount.

Thank you to the businesses who donated prizes, as well as the students and staff who bought tickets, we really appreciate all the support.
