Welcome Week is a fantastic chance for you to explore the campuses, connect with fellow students, and build a sense of belonging in your university community. With essential school inductions and social events, and university-wide events open to all students, there's something here for everyone to enjoy. Planning your induction and Welcome Week activities Welcome Week offers something for everyone and we really recommend our undergraduate and postgraduate communities make the most of this time to try new things, explore campus and connect with fellow new students, not just from your subject area but beyond.During Welcome Week you will be in control of your schedule. To plan your schedule, we suggest you start by planning your 'essential' School induction events. Using our Events app, you can search your school induction events from the 15th August, and any event that requires you to attend will have ‘Essential to attend’ in the event title. We also recommend reading all your emails. All other welcome week events can be planned to suit you. We often refer to these events as 'optional'. We understand that whilst you may want to get involved in everything that's on offer, it's also important to include some time in your schedule to relax.
