Welcome Week events
We are really excited to have so many new visiting and postgraduate students joining us on campus and online. We are looking forward to meeting you all during January Welcome Week, as well as welcoming back our returning students!
What's on in January Welcome Week
There will be a number of January Welcome Week events taking place to help support, inform and welcome you to the community. These events are all optional to attend but we highly recommend you do so.
Please check your University of Edinburgh emails regularly for direct communications from your School, including information about essential induction activities nearer to the start date.

Get to know your University trail - Friday 12 January & Thursday 18 January
Take part in this fun and informative trail, working together in groups and making friends along the way!
Explore central campus and get to know the student services that will support you during your time at University.
Complete the online quiz by finding out the answers to the questions on the map. If you answer all the questions correctly you could win one of 50 University of Edinburgh branded tartan hoodies!

Give It A Go Week - Monday 15 - Sunday 21 January
Did you know that you can get involved in societies and student groups at any time?
We understand not everyone is ready to join an extra curricular activity in September, that's why we have 'Give It A Go' at the start of semester two. This is your opportunity to find out about societies, student groups and what's on offer at Edinburgh. Throughout the week there will be student-led events, an Activities Fair and Language Taster sessions.
Student group events are now live and we'd love for you to be involved!
