A Wealth Of Support
The most difficult thing about fundraising for the University of Edinburgh is choosing what aspect of our vital work you want to support. You can support students, medical research, patient care, animal welfare and environmental issues to name but a few.
June is going to be a bumper month for volunteer fundraising with charity events taking place all over the United Kingdom in aid of the University.
Hearts4X
The month kicks off with Hearts4X at the Rattlesnake Live Bar & Kitchen London in aid of the Patrick Wild Centre; thanks to Reem Waines and Luke Papini for organising this live gig.
Dragon Ride
Gareth Jones leads the next fundraiser when he takes on the ‘Dragon Ride’ in South Wales along with his brother and friends. This extreme one day event involves cycling approximately 130km with 6000 feet of ascent through the Brecon Beacons valleys. The team are raising money for the Patrick Wild Centre in honour of Gareth’s son Evan.

Ballater Texas Scramble
Our next event sees Lindsay Barclay and the Ballater Charitable Chiels welcoming approximately 300 golfers to Ballater Golf Club to take part in the annual Ballater Texas Scramble.
University of Edinburgh staff will be helping the Barclay Family and Charitable Chiels raise funds for the Euan MacDonald Centre when they take to the course themselves.

The Suffering 10K
Caroline Dale and her colleagues at Aggregate Industries are taking on The Suffering 10K in June; an obstacle course that involves lots of water, tunnels, hurdles, ropes and running.
This challenge is being undertaken to raise funds for research into inflammatory bowel diseases including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

West Lothian Gala Day
June’s final (confirmed) fundraising activity is being undertaken by Anne Marie Ritchie in aid of the Anne Rowling Regenerative Neurology Clinic. Anne Marie will be handing out leaflets and taking donations at her local Gala Day in West Lothian.
