Scottish Diaspora Tapestry Project
Are you a French alumnus with a strong connection to Scotland? Are you a Scottish graduate, now residing in France? Do you have a personal story about your connection to both countries that you would like to share?
In conjunction with the Prestoungrange Arts Festival in Prestonpans, the University of Edinburgh Alumni Association of France are working on a project entitled ‘The Scottish Diaspora Tapestry’.
The tapestry itself will be created by volunteers across the globe and will be assembled and displayed in Scotland as part of the Homecoming 2014 celebrations.
Do you have a tale to tell?
The Alumni Association, along with Yvonne Murphy coordinator of the project, is currently collecting diaspora tales and is keen to hear from others with a Scottish-France connection.
These stories could be about your ancestors leaving Scotland and making a new life in France, or maybe you have recently emigrated from Scotland to France. Perhaps you are a French alumnus, what made you decide to study in Scotland and what difference has this made to your life?
To share your stories please email Pamela Marr:
