Doctoral Impact and Career Tracking Study

Research Councils UK (RCUK) and the four UK Higher Education funding bodies have commissioned research into the value and impact of doctoral training and they need your help.

Research Councils UK

Your opportunity to contribute to research on the impact of doctoral training

The aim of the survey is to develop understanding of the difference doctoral graduates make in the workplace and the extent to which doctoral training drives innovation and growth. Good evidence on this is vital to inform decisions on future investment in doctoral training. Information on medium to longer term doctoral career pathways can also inform current or prospective researchers about the range of options open to them.

Did you graduate with a doctorate between 2003 and 2006?

CFE want to hear from anyone who graduated with a doctorate between 2003 and 2006 as well as supervisors, research centres, alumni offices and networks with links to doctoral graduates who can help contact graduates. Your support will be critical to the success of the project.

We need your help!

The survey is due to take place in April 2013 but CFE need to be sure that they reach sufficient numbers of the target cohort of doctoral graduates.

To register your interest in participating in the study please go to:

When the survey is launched, please take the time to complete it and encourage your peers to do the same; every contribution is valuable.
