Anna Wierzoch retires

Anna Wierzoch began her well earned retirement this month, after 15 years working with Professor Aziz Sheikh.

Anna joined the University of Edinburgh in October 2000, working initially with Dr David Heaney.  She began working with Professor Aziz Sheikh 3 years later.  Anna begins her retirement this month after 15 years working with Aziz; initially based at MacKenzie Medical Centre in the Department of Community Health Sciences, and latterly based at Teviot Place as Aziz became Director of the Usher Institute.

Trust and friendship

Professor Aziz Sheikh expressed his personal gratitude to Anna at a retirement lunch at the Usher Institute.  He said that they, and their families, had built trust and friendship over the years, and he looked forward to staying in touch.

Travel plans

Anna is looking forward to having more time to enjoy travelling in her retirement.

Joanne Blair has joined the Usher Institute as PA to Professor Aziz Shiekh.
