Zimbabwe

Undergraduate entry requirements for students from Zimbabwe.

Students from Zimbabwe are admitted to the University of Edinburgh with a range of qualifications: GCE A Levels, the IB, Standardised Tests (SAT, ACT or AP) and other recognised regional systems.

Applicants with the Zimbabwean GCE Advanced Level will often be considered for direct entry. The Zimbabwe GCE A Level is considered on a grade for grade basis with GCE A Levels.

Further information on qualifications

Applicants with other qualifications will usually be required to complete a foundation year.

International Foundation Programme

The University of Edinburgh does not currently accept the above national qualification for direct entry to undergraduate study.

However, our International Foundation Programme (IFP) offers a route into many undergraduate degree programmes at the University of Edinburgh.

The IFP is designed to prepare international students who are not eligible for direct entry into undergraduate study at the University of Edinburgh.

This pre-undergraduate programme is a full-time, one year programme carefully tailored to give international students the experience and skills required to succeed at undergraduate level and help build confidence with academic English.
