Art Masterclasses for S5 and S6 pupils

Edinburgh College of Art is offering 5th and 6th year pupils a programme of subject-based masterclasses.

Leading academic staff have developed the classes to offer insights into aspects of studying art, the wider student experience, and careers in the art world.

The sessions emphasise hands-on experience (from making art to curating exhibitions), and pupils will have the opportunity to discuss and get advice on their own work and/or portfolios. They will also have the opportunity to handle original works of art. 

Those attending will receive specialist guidance on their portfolio development in Art and Design and get the opportunity to hear from a current undergraduate about student life at the art college, and about all the facilities available to them as a student from music studios to special collections.  As well as getting a taste of the different kinds of study opportunities, pupils will hear about the wide variety of careers available to art and design graduates.
