Applying to study at Edinburgh.

Before you apply for any of our postgraduate programmes, you should check that you meet our entry requirements and you should have all your supporting documents ready.

To study at postgraduate level you must meet our academic and English language requirements.

How to apply for a postgraduate programme.

What happens after you have applied, including tracking your application and accepting your offer.

You will need to submit a personal statement of around 500 words, outlining your academic history and relevant experience.

You will usually be asked to provide references in support of your application.

You will be asked to provide copies of your degree certificates and transcripts of your academic record to support your application.

If your original degree certificate, academic transcript or other relevant documents are not in English you must provide an officially certified translation.

If you are applying for research programme, you may be required to submit a research proposal as part of your application.

We do not normally offer deferrals. For some degrees, we may be able to make a very limited number of offers for deferred entry.

Before you submit your application, you should make sure that all your information is complete and accurate, and does not contain false or misleading information.
