How different is therapy from prayer?
Asian History Lecturer and BBC New Generation Thinker, Dr Chris Harding, will speak at BBC Radio 3’s Festival of Ideas, in Gateshead, Saturday 26 October 2013.
His talk, ‘Therapy v Prayer’, will explore the question, 'How different is therapy from prayer?' in the context of two secular societies, Japan and the UK - including historical insights into modern Japanese romanticism, Buddhism and psychiatry.
