New Edinburgh editors for Social History, the journal

The publisher Taylor & Francis has announced that Dr Louise Jackson (Reader in History) and Dr Gordon Johnston (Honorary Fellow) will be taking on the editorship of Social History in 2015, when the journal will be based in Edinburgh.

Social History has been edited with great distinction since its launch in 1976 by Janet Blackman, and until his death, in 2010 by Keith Nield. Over a period of nearly forty years they established Social History as one of the world's leading history journals with an enviable reputation for working closely with scholars at all stages of their careers. "It is a huge honour", said the new editors "to be following in the footsteps of so successful an editorial team".

As part of the transition process Dr Jackson and Dr Johnston will be handling all new submissions from January 2014 - manuscripts should be sent to to the email address below - and will take up their full editorial duties with Vol. 40 in 2015.
