New undergraduate common room opens

The School has opened a new Undergraduate Common Room, with capacity for up to 60 people.

Located in room 2.30 on level 2 of the William Robertson Wing, the Common Room offers comfy sofas, lunch tables, a snack machine, a tea preparation area with fridges and kettles, laptop tables and lockers.

There will be a reception to mark the official opening of the room on 2 October. Current students can read more via the link below.

‘Home’ within the School

Richard Kane, School Head of Student Administration, says:

“Our students are at the heart of everything we do, and we believe a crucial part of demonstrating that and providing a world-class student experience is making sure all our students have a 'home' in the School itself.

“Graduate students have had access to the McMillan common room since the School moved here and now, by creating another large and well-appointed social space just for our undergraduates, the School is demonstrating its equal commitment to enhancing their learning and networking experience.

“By ensuring our undergraduates also have a home in their School, our intention is that they know they are an integral and important part of our larger community.
