Advice on which documents you need to submit during your application to the University of Edinburgh, and how to go about this.

Undergraduate

Applicants for Undergraduate study who hold US qualifications will only normally be considered with Standardized Test Scores.

Standardized Test Score

The University does not require copies of your standardized test scores to be submitted. You should declare your score in your UCAS application.

Additional tests, Firm or Insurance choice

If you sit additional tests after you apply or accept a place on a programme as your Firm or Insurance choice you should submit hardcopies of your ACT and College Board results to the University – you can request your reports online:

You receive four free score reports every time you register for the SAT and you can send score reports at any time from your "My SAT" account.

  • The University of Edinburgh’s institution number is 0917.
  • Your score report will be sent to the designated college or university on your answer sheet.
  • You have the option to send to other institutions for a fee.
  • Your documents will be matched with your application when received at the University of Edinburgh. It can take up to 6 weeks for your report to be received.

High School transcripts

The University of Edinburgh bases admission decisions on standardised test scores. However, if you wish to submit your High School transcript it should be sent to the appropriate Admissions team for the programme you are applying for.
