The Insights Programme gives you the chance to gain the confidence, connections and knowledge to prepare you for the professional workplace after you graduate.
Whether you have a career in mind or are still figuring that out, the Insights Programme provides a unique opportunity to build experience by finding out more about different sectors and careers in Scotland and all over the world through connecting with former Edinburgh students and hearing more about their own career stories.

Funding and support
Our Insights programme is fully funded, so you don’t need to worry about any costs that may be involved in taking part. If you feel like there are any financial barriers to taking part, please contact us. Our Careers Service team will support you each step of the way to help develop your professional skills and confidence before you connect with Edinburgh graduates.
You’ll take part as part of a group, so you’ll also draw support from your fellow students as you share your Insights experience.

The career sectors you will be introduced to are as varied as the backgrounds of our alumni community. Previous Insights participants have had the chance to sample everything from start-ups to global corporations, spanning marketing, journalism, social work, social enterprise, banking, engineering, conservation, the arts, data science and more!
Broaden your horizons
You will either have the chance to hear from alumni who are based in Scotland, or get an idea of working and living in one of our national or global destinations, such as London, New York, Washington DC or Boston.
