How to get involved

If you've not had professional work experience, independent travel opportunities, and you'd like to develop confidence in what to do after University, the Insights Programme may be for you.

How to apply

All eligible students will be sent an email from the Insights Programme in November inviting you to apply.

The email will give you instructions on how to complete the Insights Programme application form online via MyCareerHub.

Applications for the 25/26 academic year open in early November

Students who are eligible for summer 2026 will receive an email inviting them to apply. Applications will close on Tuesday 18 November.

Students will hear the outcome of their application by Friday 9 January.

Is Insights for you?

The Insights Programme, especially Global Insights, has limited places and is for students who have not had access to professional work opportunities and independent travel.

The development programme and visit experiences reflect this. Please bear this in mind when considering if the Insights Programme is right for you. Apply to get involved if you:

  • Have no or limited access to networks to support your career development
  • Have no or limited experience of the professional work place and working cultures
  • Are committed to getting involved in all aspects of the Programme, to develop yourself personally and professionally and make the most out of the opportunities the programme provides
  • Have read about what the Insights Programme is and understand how it can help you.
