Why we use your dataWe are using information about you because it is in our legitimate interest.Insights Programme alumni host registration We will use your personal data to allow us to process your registration and we will use the contact details you provide to communicate with you about the event, so that we can fulfil our contract as the event provider. Photographic images and video The personal information (this may include your name and identifying information, your photographic image or video) you provide as a participant of the Insights Programme will be used by the University to promote the Insights Programme and provide information to prospective student participants, staff, funders and partners. We will use this on the basis of our legitimate business interest to record and promote our work.Who we share information withUniversity of EdinburghInformation about you will be shared with relevant staff within the University of Edinburgh who are responsible for the facilitation of the Insights Programme and with the students on the Programme. If you inform us that you no longer wish to be involved with the Insights Programme, we will maintain enough data to comply with your wishes and ensure that we do not inadvertently re-create a new record for you or communicate with you in the future about this programme. We need to comply with other regulations that will determine aspects of our record retention policy, such as data required for historical reporting purposes.
