Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation hosted Complicite events
A masterclass and symposium with British theatre group Complicite took place at ECCI as part of the Edinburgh International Festival.
Complicite’s new production The Encounter made its world premiere at this year’s International Festival.
As part of the company’s involvement with the Festival, they hosted two events at ECCI.
ECCI is an innovation centre that fosters collaborative working between policy, community and business leaders to support and deliver workable solutions for a low carbon future. The Centre is supported and hosted by University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh Napier University and Heriot-Watt University.
Events
On 18-19 August, Complicite held a two-day masterclass on the theatrical ensemble, focusing on the instinctive communication and adaptation skills needed to survive on stage.
On 21 August, the contributors to Complicite’s The Encounter reunited at a symposium to talk about how their work fed into the production.
