Kelpies at the Vet School
New temporary home for The Kelpie Maquettes at our Easter Bush Campus
From now until December 18th , our mini Kelpies will be stabled with our collegues at the The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at Easter Bush Campus.
The three metre-high maquettes of The Kelpies, the rearing heads of two Clydesdale horses, were previous on display in Old College Quadrangle in October.
The versions are an exact 1:10 replica of the 30 metre-high sculptures located at Falkirk’s Helix Parkland.
Created by artist Andy Scott, the Kelpies opened to the public in April 2014.
The maquettes arrive at the University after travelling the world. They have been on display in New York’s Bryant Park, Chicago’s Grant Park, and at last year’s Ryder Cup in Gleneagles.
