Edinburgh Arab Festival at Fringe
The Islamic & Middle Eastern Studies Department ran the first cultural Arab Festival to take place in Scotland.
This vibrant two-day cultural festival provided visitors with a unique insight into Arab culture through a wide array of open and scheduled events.
Events included Arabic language taster sessions, tours of the University Library’s special manuscript collection, a film screening of Solomon and the Queen and an Arabic calligraphy workshop.
The Edinburgh Arab Festivals ran 28 - 29 August. All events were free.
