Art
Recent ECA grad Sky Su presented his degree show piece 'Unloop' as part of Out of Sight, Out of Mind, an exhibition that aims to get us thinking and talking about mental health, raising awareness and challenging preconceptions.
Sky's work was at Summerhall from 10 - 31 October at Summerhall.
Film
Recent graduates of the University’s MSc Film, Exhibition & Curation programme Lauren Clarke, Charlotte Micklewright, Rebecca Padley and Emma van der Putten curated shorts based on the theme Suppressed/Expressed.
The shorts were screened 22 October at Filmhouse.
Talks
Acclaimed poet Jo McFarlane explored her encounters with psychiatrists in poignant, critical and humorous ways.
This was then followed by a talk from honorary Psychiatry staff member Dr Allan Beveridge, fusing extracts and commentary to offer a fascinating insight into our obsession with madness.
Madness in Modern Scottish Literature took place 15 October (7pm - 9pm) at Summerhall.
