March in March raises funds and awareness for endometriosis research
March 2020: Philippa Saunders from CIR and Andrew Horne from CRH take part in the annual March in March for endometriosis awareness, raising funds for the EXPPECT project.
The annual March in March, organised by West Lothian EndoWarriors and the University of Edinburgh as part of Endometriosis Awareness Month, is designed to raise awareness of endometriosis and funding for EXPPECT.
Excellence in Pelvic Pain and Endometriosis Care and Treatment (EXPPECT) is joint research team from CIR and the Centre for Reproductive Health who look at different aspects of endometriosis, run by Professors Philippa Saunders and Andrew Horne.
Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 women in the UK and currently has no effective long-term treatment. The 2020 March in March raised £1500 for EXPPECT research - congratulations to Philippa, Andrew and the EndoWarriors team!
