CIR takes part in Edinburgh Science Festival's digital lockdown offering

April 2020: The CIR Let's Talk about Health public lecture on inflammatory bowel disease becomes a feature of this year's digital Edinburgh Science Festival programme.

In mid March it was announced that the Edinburgh Science Festival, which normally attracts thousands of participants in multiple venues across the city, was cancelled due to the risk of spreading COVID-19. Edinburgh Science introduced 'Elements of #EdSciFest' as a digital festival for the 2020 season, placing calls for high-quality online content. The Let's Talk About Health lecture series and CIR's lecture in particular was chosen as part of the festival programme, which also included animated explainer videos and hands-on Kids Lab activities for home learners.

You can watch the lecture on current Inflammatory Bowel Disease research from the perspective of a clinician, patient and PhD student below.
