Edinburgh Global welcomes two new Regional Directors
Edinburgh Global is pleased to announce the appointment of two new Regional Directors.
Audrey Kon
Audrey Kon re-joined Edinburgh Global on 21 November 2023, taking up the new role of Regional Director, Southeast Asia and Cross-Regional Projects.
Based in Singapore, Audrey is responsible for developing new partnerships, strengthening current relationships, and connecting with alumni and friends across the Southeast Asia region.
Bringing with her a wealth of experience in Regional Director positions within the Southeast Asia region, Audrey most recently served in a similar capacity at Durham University. We are thrilled to welcome her back to Edinburgh Global.
I’m delighted to be back with Edinburgh to advance the University’s engagement in Southeast Asia and the Asia Pacific. I’m excited to be working with colleagues across the University to build stronger collaborations and transformative partnerships in the region.
Seth Amanfo
Dr Seth Amanfo joined Edinburgh Global on 4 December 2023 as Regional Director, Africa and the Middle East.
Seth will be working to promote our world-class research and equitable research partnerships by deepening existing ones and exploring new opportunities; engaging with our alumni community in research, government, business, and industry; and providing and promoting opportunities for students from disadvantaged backgrounds from the continent, while engaging and managing the expectations of a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
Seth will also be building on existing foundations to strengthen collaborations with institutions in the Middle East. Seth is based in Edinburgh.
In his most recent role as Senior Research Project Manager for Una Resin, Seth comes to the Regional Director role with a huge wealth of experience, expertise, understanding and knowledge, with specialism in inter-university alliances, global health research and innovation and capacity building.
I’m excited to be joining Edinburgh Global at such an exciting time when the University’s commitment to partnership with Africa is high on the agenda with buy-in at all levels. I’m equally excited about the opportunity to continue to be an Ambassador for the University of Edinburgh.
