'Feeling the pressure' image featured on MRC image of the day

A picture captioned 'Feeling the pressure' has been featured on the MRC Biomedical Picture of the Day website. Published in the article 'Genetic analyses identify brain structures related to cognitive impairment associated with elevated blood pressure' the image shows areas of the brain most susceptible to hypertension. Studying brain images, cognitive and genetic data from a large observational cohort the team also identified which of these areas link to cognitive dysfunction and could indicate mechanisms underlying the role of hypertension in reduced cognitive performance.
