Dr Maria Valdes Hernandez gives keynote speech at the  20th International Symposium of Electrical Engineering

Dr Maria Valdes Hernandez, Row lecturer in medical image analysis, was invited to present as the keynote speaker at the  20th International Symposium of Electrical Engineering held at the The University Martha Abreu de Las Villas in Cuba.  Dr Valdes Hernandez is was also an undergraduate at The University of Martha Abreu de Las Villas and conducted her MSc there too. 

Maria's talk entitled, "Super-resolution of magnetic resonance images acquired under clinical protocols" was an overview of the amazing work she undertakes here within the Row Fogo Centre. You can view the talk on Youtube:

Dr Valdes Hernandez is integral to developing imaging resources for the Centre, including her most recent resource, "Step-by-step pipeline for segmenting enlarged perivascular spaces from 3D T2-weighted MRI".
