Postgraduate online learning
Extraordinary Edinburgh

Study collaboratively, not alone

Online learning is not an isolated way of studying. You will study alongside other students sharing experiences and ideas.

Your fellow students will come from a range of backgrounds with many studying from outside the UK. You will be able to share experiences through debate taking place on discussion boards supported and moderated by members of academic staff.

As well as communicating with other students, you will also have regular contact with members of academic staff and your personal tutor.

Collaborative study tools

There are many benefits to studying with others, and our programmes are designed to support this. You will use a range of platforms to help you work in small groups with other students. These may include moderated discussion groups, as well as online chat sessions and group work.

One of the most exciting things about the course is being able to learn from people from all over the world. It was quite a unique experience to participate in discussion fuelled by wide ranging experiences and backgrounds.
