Visions for Change

VSG Landscape

We live in an era where the ambition for change has become imperative for achieving environmental and social responsibility. Across the globe, organizations and institutions are beginning to channel their efforts towards creating change for a sustainable future. But what can each sector do to contribute?

Join us for an inspiring series of talks and debates about how each sector has the ability to drive change for a better world.

We will be hearing from experts in a variety of sectors, united by the desire to achieve their vision for a sustainable future. The stories of how they, are driving change will contribute to answering a challenging question: ‘What is your vision for change?’

  • 19th February: Dr Richard Yemm, CEO of Pelamis Wave Power, will share his experience on scientific innovation in driving change within the energy sector
  • 26th February: Peter McColl, Rector of the University of Edinburgh, will discuss the importance of social justice and equality in driving change
  • 6th March: Dave Gorman, director of the Department for Social Responsibility and Sustainability, will chair a discussion between representatives of different sectors, on the importance of collaboration for achieving change.

All events will take place at the Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation, from 7 until 9 PM, and will include a wine reception.
