Child Health in Africa
Our congratualtions to the St Andrews Clinics for Children (STACC) for their continued efforts to bring care to children through their clinics across Africa.
Despite the Ebola epidemic 14 of the 16 feeding centres remain active in Ghana and in Sierra Leone 16 centres have been feeding 2320 children under 5 each month despite the effects of the Ebola crisis in the country.
We are guilty of many errors and many faults, but our worst crime is abandoning the children, neglecting the fountain of life. Many of the things we need can wait. The child cannot. Right now is the time his bones are being formed, his blood is being made, his senses are being developed. To him we cannot answer “tomorrow”. His name is today
